We reply with a fixed all-in price, usually within a few hours on a business day.

Estimates are based on our current forwarder rate sheet and cover the 48 contiguous states (no PO boxes, military addresses, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Guam or Alaska). Chargeable weight is the greater of actual and volumetric weight (L×W×H cm ÷ 6000). Ocean shipments have a 21 kg minimum per shipment and 12 kg minimum billable per carton. Rates move with fuel, season and exchange rates, so the final price is confirmed per shipment.

Buy where you like — we move it

Most people who use this calculator have already bought in China, or are about to: on 1688, on Alibaba, or straight from a factory they found themselves. You do not need to buy through us to ship with us.

Your suppliers send the cargo to our consolidation warehouse. We receive it, check the cartons against what you ordered, combine everything into a single shipment and deliver it duty-paid to your address or to Amazon FBA. One freight bill instead of five, and the combined weight usually drops you into a cheaper rate bracket than any single supplier's box would have earned.

If you would rather not hunt for the factory yourself, that part is our sourcing service — we find and vet the manufacturer, then the same freight applies.

What the number includes

Inside the price

  • Collection from your suppliers and consolidation at our warehouse
  • Export clearance in China and the ocean leg
  • US customs clearance and import duty — no separate customs bill
  • Final-mile delivery, Amazon FBA included, with FBA and Team Lift labels

Charged separately

  • The goods themselves and any domestic delivery your supplier bills
  • Repacking, palletising and storage beyond normal consolidation
  • Anti-dumping duty and product compliance on regulated goods (UL, FDA, TSCA)
  • Anything outside the 48 contiguous states — no PO boxes, military, PR, HI, GU, AK

Why the billed weight is often higher than the scale says

Freight is charged on chargeable weight — whichever is greater, the actual weight or the space the cargo occupies. Volumetric weight is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 6000, which makes one cubic metre bill as roughly 167 kg.

Kitchenware, 60×40×40 cm15 kg16 kg16 kg — almost even
Cushions, 60×50×50 cm7 kg25 kg25 kg — space wins

Practical consequence: if your supplier packs loosely, you are paying to ship air. Asking for tighter cartons before production ends is the cheapest freight saving there is — and something we check when cargo arrives at our warehouse.

Two minimums to keep in mind. Ocean shipments bill at least 21 kg per shipment and at least 12 kg per carton. A single 4 kg box still costs the same as 12 kg — which is exactly why consolidating several suppliers into one shipment beats sending boxes one by one.

Which line fits your shipment

Three ways across the Pacific. They differ in speed, in what they will carry, and in how small a shipment they will take.

Sea freight — Fast vessel

≈ 27–33 days from sailing

Duty-paid door-to-door ocean consolidation on the fast vessel. The workhorse for Amazon FBA restocks.

Sea freight — Standard vessel

≈ 34–35 days from sailing

The same door-to-door service on the standard vessel — cheapest per kilogram when you can plan ahead.

Express consolidation

≈ 20–21 days from sailing

Fast customs clearance, with fuel, duty and residential delivery already inside the rate. Takes categories the general cargo line refuses — food, cosmetics and personal-use goods (no fatty foods).

What it costs per kilogram

Prices are duty-paid to the door. The rate steps down once your chargeable weight passes 100 kg — that step is why the calculator sometimes suggests topping the shipment up.

East — ZIP 0–3 (NY, FL, GA…)$2.96 – $3.89$2.82 – $3.55

Lower figure applies from 100 kg of chargeable weight, higher one below it.

Central — ZIP 4–7 (TX, IL, CO…)quoted by hand$3.24 /kg
East — ZIP 0–3 (NY, FL, GA…)quoted by hand$3.55 /kg

Indicative USD figures for planning. The final price is confirmed per shipment: ocean rates, the monthly fuel surcharge and the exchange rate all move, and duty depends on your HS code.

Crossing 100 kg changes the price

The ocean rate card has a step, not a slope: below 100 kg of chargeable weight you pay the small-shipment rate, from 100 kg you drop onto a noticeably cheaper one. It is entirely possible for 99 kg to cost more than 100 kg.

The calculator watches for this and tells you when topping the shipment up is cheaper than sending it as it stands. If you are close to the line, adding one more carton from another supplier usually pays for itself.

What else moves the price

  • Destination zone — the West coast is cheapest, the East coast dearest. The calculator reads the zone from your ZIP, including the exceptions where a west-coast ZIP is billed as east.
  • Address type — Amazon FBA is the baseline; a non-Amazon business address costs a little more, and remote areas carry a UPS surcharge.
  • Carton size and weight — cartons over 22 kg, longer than 120 cm or wide on the second side carry extra fees, and past certain limits the carrier will not take them at all. The calculator flags this before you book, not after.
  • Product and HS code — duty sits inside our price, but the rate depends on what the goods actually are.
  • Season and fuel — ocean rates and the fuel surcharge move constantly; the weeks before Chinese New Year are the sharpest swing of the year.

What we cannot carry

Counterfeit or unauthorised branded goods, pure batteries, liquids, powders, tobacco and vapes, strong magnets, knives and weapons, adult goods, seeds and poisons. Food, cosmetics, medical and baby products are refused by the general cargo line but accepted on express consolidation.

Products with built-in batteries are handled case by case — send us a photo before you place the order, not after the cargo reaches the warehouse.

Questions we get every week

Can you combine cargo from several suppliers?
That is the normal case. Your suppliers ship to our warehouse, we receive and check every carton, then one consolidated shipment travels to your door. One bill, one tracking number, and usually a better rate bracket than any single box would have earned.
Do I have to buy through you to use your freight?
No. Many clients buy on 1688, Alibaba or direct from their own factory and use us only for consolidation and delivery. Sourcing is a separate service you can take or leave.
Is duty really included?
Yes — our lines are DDP. Freight, both clearances and US import duty are inside the quoted price, and you never get a separate customs bill. Duty depends on your HS code, so unusual or high-value cargo is confirmed per shipment.
How accurate is the estimate?
It runs on the rate card we actually ship on, so for standard cargo it lands close to the invoice. Two things move it: our warehouse re-measures cartons on arrival, and duty depends on your specific product. That is why we confirm a firm price the same business day instead of calling the estimate binding.
How long does it take from cargo ready to my door?
Ocean transit is counted from sailing: the sea leg plus 2–3 days unloading and about 3 days of final delivery. On the fast vessel that is roughly 27–33 days from sailing, and the weekly Shanghai cut-off comes before that.
Can you deliver straight into Amazon FBA?
Yes, across the 48 contiguous states, with the correct FBA and Team Lift labelling and the warehouse code on the paperwork. Ocean lines need 100 kg of actual weight before they will deliver to a non-Amazon address — below that, use express consolidation.
